^Examples of good character design, the character is designed with things in mind other than bashing things with a club until they die. He doesn't have over nine thousand strength, and has feats that are not purely designed to make him hit things harder. I hate to sit here saying that I'm impressed with a bard, but, I mean, someone knows their class well.

But yeah I love the Bard simply because he makes a good 5th man so to speak, doesn't fill his own niche he just rocks at everything.

Admittedly, level 1 best im gonna do is inspire some confidence but hey thats what Bards do

For once, I actually think that'd be fairly useful. There's five other player characters, so that should really start to be useful early on. ^_^

Not too extensive, and not the standard world. I don't have the patience to learn shit, so I very rarely use standard world. =P

I have no idea what the thing with links is. Nik mentioned a similar problem when he first joined, as I recall. Possibly the forum doesn't allow link posting within the first 24 hours? I'm not entirely sure. I'll look into it.

Bit of backstory I guess:
Mordecai is well, an average human of 20 years of age. His father was an adventurer(Fighter) in his youth but settled down when Mordecai's mother fell pregnant. Mordecai had originally trained to be a fighter like his father but he very quickly got bored of it and thus became a Bard given his love of storytelling. Mordecai has low skill in playing an actual instrument as his Perform skill is Auritory(Spoken word, his Bardic powers are done through speech and/or singing). He does carry his father's old longsword for the sake of sentiment, it was once enchanted and seems like it still is for Mordecai's father but when Mordecai uses it it is just a base sword.

Daze, Lullaby, Read Magic and Prestidigitation(i've always noticed that every time I play a bard I never use my damn spells at level 1, lets see if I can change that.)

Knowledge based classes have their uses. I just have an aversion to any class designed to work better in larger parties. Used to playing small groups.

I find it varies from group to group. My current irl group is playing 4e and has 7 players. It's just too big for a game that barely promotes roleplaying regardless.
Gladly the DM seems to have adopted me as the main character so it doesnt affect me too much but still it can get weird.
But uhm yeah let me know when I can join the game, just catching up now

It's pleasant enough, i've got pros and cons of both if im honest. Plus its easy to teach beginners because the rules dont cover anything thats not "HIT IT"

I guess, but I mean, that's really something I don't like about it. Plus, y'know. Players are so OP in it. 3.5 is what I started out with, and it's always worked beautifully for me.
Then again, maybe fifth will be fun? We'll see.
