Per day ICly. Thats why they have to sleep eight hours to regenerate their spells.

Actually he's used his current cap of spells. I managed to make it through without cheating. And his wisdom modifier is only +3 too. You'd normally expect a healer to have more than six heals a day.

And, I in fact meant that I would be negotiating around the issue of levelling health by allowing refills at level up (providing the character is conscious at the time). Like I said, it's the easiest system to work with.
