I start climb/walk/swimming to the pillar

You step in the water, and it is a few inches deep. You walk across without a problem.

"You gois are a buncha Lil-gijaks!" I walk over to the pillar and try to read it.

It's still a bunch of squiggles to you.

I frown. "Alright, thats... odd. I try to imitate Wat, though I have a bad feeling about this.

The water is really shallow. It's just very fast. There isn't a problem.

I turn back and motion for the others to come. "Mordecai, Leilanad, its safe to cross. Watch out for Suzy, though, just in case." I Turn back and try to read the inscription.

Leilanad starts to walk across, disappointingly putting his bow and arrow away.

Errwick crosses, disappointed that my troll did not have more of an effect. =P
Assuming you all wish to cross the river, no-one has a problem crossing (if you don't want to cross, obviously just say).

I offer to carry Suzy across, if not I walk across myself.

Leilanad walks across, annoyed that he is getting his boots wet.

Suzy accepts the Bard's offer with glee, climbing up his shoulders to be taken across.

Zak, you recognise the language as Orcish. This seems to somewhat make sense, since you already know there are a fair number of orcs amongst your enemies.
Since you speak it, it doesn't take you long to figure it out. Unsurprisingly, it appears to be a riddle, with patterned carvings around the edge.
Yes. A pillar, with a riddle on it. Hence the term, riddle pillar.

There also seems to be a faint copywrite symbol at the bottom of it. Orga starts punching the air in happiness. It's probably some kind of dragon.
You wonder for a minute if it still rhymes in Orcish. Then the DM repeatedly slaps you around the head, because he struggles with English, let alone another poorly documented language.

I repeat this to the group. "Any ideas?"
