I fly forty feet (diagonally) towards the Scorpions, wondering if the Elf is close enough to hit the scorpions from where she is.

Copy the map and mark it, so I know which square you mean. Just so we don't have another of those ten minute discussions where we both think you're in totally different positions on the map.

Normally I would make you wait until your turn to mount (since it's McFeather's turn, not Zak's), but since the scorpions are currently holding their actions, which makes it your turn next anyway. =P

The scorpions don't see you, since you're approaching from behind (also, let's be honest. You are kind of the size of a fly compared to them).

Unless you had any other actions planned for you or McFeathers, it's Hiro's turn.

I use my height and advantageous position to estimate whether or not it would be a good idea to drop down and hit them in the eyes with my sword.

Since you're at the back of the beast currently, it would be difficult to do this round. If you wanted to know in general if it's a good idea, make an applicable knowledge roll (Nature would be preferable, but like I've said before, if you have a high score in a different area that's connected, like local for example, then that could also work. Or otherwise just make a base intelligence roll).

As far as you can tell, it seems like a pretty sound plan.

I want to go further but I'd have to wait for Mr. McFeathers to do that. Turn passed.

Alright, I'll roll knowledge(nature) to determine if sight if their primary sense and, if it is, I'll attempt to camouflage myself in the sand(if it isn't disregard my second roll).

You remember reading the Big Orga Book of Arachnids, which says that all Arachnids have telepathy out to a million miles that allow them to know where everyone is around them. They have incredibly powerful telepathy, and have probably already seized control of your friends!
